Condition Description

The T-Cross's metal surfaces, except for the hood, roof, tailgate, and right rear fender, are painted, with some minor bodywork and scratches. Exterior investment was minimal. The interior needs deep cleaning; the sunroof is clogged, the inside of the left A-pillar and the floor mats are wet and need treatment, and there is some rust on the seat frames. Double-layered safety measures are in place.

Q&A

More

Is there specific data on paint thickness? How can we determine if it's the original factory paint?

We use a calibrated high-precision paint thickness gauge to take multiple measurements on at least 13 metal surfaces of the entire vehicle. The original paint thickness of mainstream Chinese models typically ranges from 90μm to 150μm. If any area exceeds 200μm or even reaches over 500μm, we will directly conclude that the area has undergone bodywork and filler repair.

How do you assess the appearance condition of a vehicle? What specific standards are there for scratches and dents?

We use quantitative standards. Minor scratches less than 3 cm that do not reach the base coat (which can be polished) are considered normal wear; scratches over 3 cm deep to the base coat or dents larger than 2 cm in diameter will be highlighted in the inspection report's "Appearance Defect Distribution Map" with close-up photos.

What are the specific evaluation criteria for "original paint" on your platform? Does repainting a bumper count?

Strict definition: All metal body parts (doors, hood, fenders) and the frame must retain the original factory paint, with uniform paint thickness readings. Minor touch-ups or replacements of plastic bumpers, as they do not affect metal corrosion protection and vehicle structure, can still be classified as "original paint" in a broad sense, but we will separately note the condition of the bumper.
